Fit Dry Shorts
How can I shrink this sweater without damaging it?
I have a short sleeve sweater that is a little baggy on me and I would like to make it fit tighter. It says on the tag “lay flat to dry” meaning it probably shouldn’t go in the dryer. But I don’t know how else to shrink it? Would the dryer damage it? I would hate to hurt it at all because it is fairly new.
Thanks for help! It is 100% acrylic.
ew really?? How do they make plastic feel that soft??
You cannot shrink acrylic. You can, however, take it to a tailor and have it taken in a bit. Or just live with it as it is. And — keep it out of the dryer! Heat can literally melt some of the fibers to make it a bit “crunchy” and not nice to feel, and just being slung around in a dryer is likely to stretch it.
