How many days a week should i go on my rowing machine?
I know you need day's rest so i was wondering how many days a week you should go on an indoor rower? I got a new rower and i want to gain muscle and also, as i could do with losing some weight. I am 14, female and weigh around 60kg.
I plan to row for about 10/20mins per day before breakfast at first and gradually increas that time till i can go for an hour. Please help.

Rowing machines are really "that" anaerobic. they're mostly aerobic and once you become accustomed to using it, the muscle gain kind tapers off and you only condition the heart.
I would say in the beginning 30 minutes every other day.
when you dont feel anything the day after, bring it up to 5x a week.
Would i be able to lose 20kg for August 1st?
I am going on holiday to Portugal on August the first and i would like to look good in my bikini. I am a 14 year old girl, medium build and i weigh 62kg or 9.7 stone!!! I would ideally like to lose at least 15kg or 2.4 stone in about 4 months. I love sports and on the Netball, Hockey, VolleyBall and Football teams at school.
I bought a rowing machine yesterday and i plan to use that for my daily exercise. I will go on my rower every day for at least 25 minutes at a fast pace. This will hopefully work on my problem areas: tummy, bum and thighs. Naturally, i would give up sweets, chocolate, fizzy drinks, tea coffee, fast food, take-aways and any fatty foods. Even though i don't usually gorge myself silly as i eat healthily anyway, eat chocolate now and then and hardly ever have a take-away or eat out.
Do you think this goal is possible? Can you give me any tips for losing the weight? If i can't lose this much weight how much could i lose d'you recon?

Unfortunately such an unrealistic target is pretty much doomed from the start. Set your sights on something that is achievable. You have not given your height, so I can't calculate your BMI and I am thus unable to calculate what sort of weight issue you have. However combine a healthy, balanced diet with exercise and 3-4 lbs, or 1-1.5 Kgs weight loss a month is a more appropriate estimate of what it might be possible for you to lose.
